It was so interesting to read because it was so anti anything I really believed and held as true in my minds eye to the point of being absurd that it kept me going. There was a lot of very good moments where I was blown away by her understanding of abuse. As long as you go in with a firm world view it’s very interesting to see how she thinks through her characters and their interactions. Her “virtue of selfishness” as vile as it sounds it pretty based and inspired my own views of self care. So I read it like 9 years ago but she has really interesting philosophies despite not agreeing with some if not most of them.
